About Render

Render Network is a distributed GPU network that connects creators and applications requiring rendering or GPU compute with independent operators that provide processing capacity. The project held its first public sale of the RNDR token in 2017, and the network launched publicly in April 2020. It initially used an Ethereum-based token before migrating active network operations to the RENDER token on Solana. The network uses a Burn-Mint Equilibrium model to account for work. Under this model, creators burn RENDER in exchange for work credits used for rendering or compute jobs. Node operators complete assigned work and receive RENDER through network emissions rather than through a direct token transfer from each requester. This separates the amount paid for work from the mechanism used to compensate operators. The network remains focused on distributed rendering and GPU-compute workloads for creators, studios and applications.
